Hailuogou National Glacier Forest Park - China

Hailuogou National Glacier Forest Park (aka Conch Valley, Hailuogou Scenic Area) is located in Moxi Town, Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is an important component of Gongga Mountain Scenic Spot and National Nature Reserve.

The Conch Valley originates from the east slope of Gongga Snow Mountain, the "King of Shu Mountains". It is about 30.7 kilometers long and covers an area of 220 square kilometers. The glacier of the valley was formed 16 million years ago, and geologists call it a modern marine glacier. The scenic spot is located at the junction of Luding, Kangding, and Shimian counties in Ya'an City, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, covering an area of 906.13 square kilometers; There are alpine snow peaks, glaciers, ice falls, old-growth forest, geothermal hot springs, wildlife parks, red stone parks, glacier forests and other scenic spots in the ditch.
