If there are a few people, it may make sense to charter a taxi to Jiuzhaigou Valley. Fares of ¥ 800-1000 from Langmusi (a small alpine town on the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, nestled in a valley shared between Gansu and Sichuan provinces) have been reported. It is also reportedly possible to take a taxi from Chengdu (the capital city of Sichuan Province) for around ¥1200 - 2000, which is probably cheaper than flying for 3 people and much more comfortable than a long distance bus.
