Multiple options are available to reach Jiuzhaigou (Jiuzhaigou National Park), depending on your departure point, budget, and schedule:
1. High-Speed Rail + Private Car Service (Recommended)
Rail Route:
Take the high-speed rail from Chengdu East Railway Station (Chengdudong 成都东) to Huanglong Jiuzhai Railway Station (fastest route: 1 hour 39 minutes). Alternatively, transfer at Songpan Railway Station and purchase an extension ticket to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station （黄龙九寨）.
Private Car Service:
Our driver will meet you at Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station and take you directly to Jiuzhaigou.
2. High-Speed Rail + Shuttle Bus
Rail Route:
Same as above (Chengdu East Station → Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station or via Songpan Railway Station).
Shuttle Bus:
From Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station to Jiuzhaigou National Park: ~93 km, 1.5–2 hours.
From Songpan Railway Station to Jiuzhaigou National Park: ~126 km, 2.5 hours.
Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport (JZH)
The closest airport to Jiuzhaigou National Park is Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport (~80 km away).
Flight Updates (2024):
After the Chengdu East–Huanglong-Jiuzhai high-speed rail opened in 2024, all direct flights to JZH from cities except Chengdu (e.g., Chongqing, Xi’an, Beijing, Shanghai, etc.) have been suspended.
From Chengdu to JZH:
After landing, take an airport shuttle bus (2 hours) or taxi to Jiuzhaigou National Park.
Important Note:
Flights to JZH typically arrive in the afternoon. Since the park nears closing time by then, taking a shuttle or taxi directly to the park is not advisable. Instead, use our private car service to check into a hotel first and start your tour the next morning.
From Chengdu:
Direct buses depart from Xinnanmen Bus Station or Chadianzi Bus Station to Jiuzhaigou National Park or Jiuzhaigou County (8–10 hours).
From Jiuzhaigou County to the National Park:
Transfer to a local bus or taxi (~40 km).
