Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Big Wild Goose Pagoda was first built in 652 by Xuanzang, an excellent Buddhist scholar in Tang Dynasty.

The purpose of building the pagoda is to hold sutras and figurines of the Buddha that were brought from India.

The pagoda currently stands at a height of 64 meters tall and from the top it offers the best views of Xi’an—the grid-like layout of the city.
