Jiuzhaigou's landscape is made up of high-altitude karst shaped by glacial, hydrological and tectonic activity.
It is highly praised as a fairyland on earth, which combines multi-level waterfalls, colorful lakes, perennially snow-capped mountain peaks and verdant forests.
In addition to spectacular scenery, it is home to nine Tibetan villages, giant panda, the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey as well as over 220 bird species.
