Shanghai Museum, located on the People's Square near Nanjing Road, is considered to be the best museum in China.
It has 11 galleries and over 120,000 historic artifacts, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, calligraphy, furniture, and fantastic bronzes. Some special exhibitions are also on occasion.
