Luding Bridge

Luding Bridge, also known as Dadu Bridge, is an iron chain bridge across the Dadu River in Luqiao Town, Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. It is the main cultural relic of the Luding Bridge Scenic Area.

The Luding Bridge was first built in September of the 44th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1705) and put into use in April of the 45th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1706); On March 4, 1961, it was included in the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in China

The Luding Bridge, with a total length of 103.67 meters and a width of 3 meters, is composed of 13 iron chains. The bridge is famous both at home and abroad for the battle of "Flying to Seize the Luding Bridge.".
