Baoguo Temple situated at the foot of Mount Emei and is considered the gate to the mountain, which covers an area of about 10 acres.
There are many historical relics in the temple, such as famous colorful glaze porcelain Buddha.
The Buddha is 24 meters high, which was built in 1415. The red copper Huayan Pagoda inside the temple is an important relic for studying Chinese Buddhism.
Besides, there is a big bell which is 2.3 meters high and weighs more than 10 tons.
