Upon your arrival at the airport, your local guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area and escort you to the designated hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

2
Chengdu
Transfer via: private vehicle
Activities for today: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Jinli Old Street, Wangjianglou Park, Wuhou Temple
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to witness the pandas during their feeding time. You will also have the opportunity to see the red pandas at the base. Following this, you can watch a documentary at the Panda Museum to learn about the daily life of pandas, the birth of baby pandas, and more.
After a delightful time with the pandas, we will drive back to downtown Chengdu. Take a leisurely stroll through Jinli Old Street, where you can sample a variety of local snacks and admire traditional handicrafts.
Following lunch, we will proceed to Wangjianglou Park. Here, you will wander through picturesque paths leading to historic pavilions and halls dedicated to Xuetao, a female poet from the Tang Dynasty. The park also features Chongli Tower, offering a four-story view of the lush bamboo and willow trees along the riverside.
Experience tea-drinking like a local within the park before indulging in a famous Sichuan hot pot dinner.
As an optional activity, you can attend a Sichuan Opera performance at a teahouse. The show lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes the mesmerizing face-changing act.

Chengdu/Luding/Moxi

Activities for today: Drive to Moxi, Luding Bridge
Today, we will travel to western Sichuan, passing through the picturesque West Sichuan Plain and Ya'an. Following lunch in Tianquan County, we will drive through China's longest tunnel, the Mount Erlangshan Tunnel (4176m), and pause for approximately 15 minutes to capture the unique scenic beauty of the mountains. Our journey continues to the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture along the stunning Dadu River Valley. Upon reaching Luding County, we will visit the historic Luding Bridge, dating back to the Qing Dynasty and renowned as a significant landmark. In 1935, during the Long March, soldiers from the Fourth Regiment of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army secured the bridge as a crucial river crossing for the Red Army. Following this, we will travel along the Dadu River to Moxi Town. After dinner, you are free to relax or join the optional bonfire party featuring roasted lamb.

Moxi

Activities for today: Hailuogou National Glacier Forest Park
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to Hailuogou National Glacier Forest Park. Upon arrival, we will board a sightseeing bus that will take us through the stunning primitive forests, passing by the No. 1 Base Camp and No. 2 Base Camp, until we reach the No. 3 Base Camp. Here, you have the option to take a cable car (at your own cost) up to the No. 4 Base Camp. The cable car ride offers a breathtaking aerial view of the pristine forest and glaciers. On a clear day, you may even witness the spectacular giant ice waterfalls and behold the majestic main peak of Mount Gongga, also known as "the King of Sichuan's mountains," standing at an elevation of 7,556 meters.
If you choose not to take the cable car to the No. 4 Base Camp, you can embark on a walk through the virgin forest to the glacier viewing platform. Here, you can marvel at the wonders of the glaciers, including glacier crevasses, mushroom-shaped glaciers, and more. Following lunch, you will have free time to explore the glacier forest park at your own pace. Later in the afternoon, we will board the sightseeing bus for the return journey to Moxi.

Moxi/Chengdu
Activities for today: Drive back to Chengdu
Take your time to enjoy breakfast, and then we will proceed with the transfer to Chengdu.
DAY
6
Chengdu/Exit
Activities for today: Qingyang Palace, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, airport transfer.
Following breakfast, we will proceed to visit the Qingyang Palace, also known as the Green Ram Temple, a Taoist temple with over a thousand years of history. Next, we will visit the Du Fu Thatched Cottage, the former residence of the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu (712-770 AD), which has been transformed into a park and museum dedicated to his honor. Du Fu, renowned as the Sage of Poetry, was a realist poet and often regarded as one of the greatest Chinese poets alongside Li Bai (Li Bo). After lunch, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
